A Zappa CD worthy adding to your collection. I have all early Zappa , this one has one lengthy solo on Rhodes by George Duke on it , a bit of a jam-feel , maybe less intricately composed as some other Zappa CD's. It must be a camel. |

I'm not much of a Zappa fan so everyone will have to take my comments with a grain of salt. This is only half of a good album. It would have been much better if Frank had lopped off the two idiotic short numbers in between that only pad the album. Not much on the Rhodes front except for George Duke's solo on the first track. This was supposedly Frank's big band jazz attempt but he doesn't quite pull it off. Rock guitarists and jazz do not mix. |
