Incognito, Galliano, Brand New Heavies - the Groovin' Trinity of Britain's Acid Jazz movement in the 90s. This is one of the Heavies' best with spacious grooves plus tasty Rhodes and B3. What's more, I always dug Maria Muldaur's "Midnight At The Oasis", especially for the line "you don't need no camel, you can ride on me" that she got away with on the airwaves back then. BNH give this gem a nice catchy treatment with heavy old school funk bass - my fave on this one. |
