Vibes player Roy Ayers has several albums with great Rhodes piano. This album has always been one of my favourites. Recently released on cd I bought it out of convenience (and to rip it onto my iPod). Unfortunately the sound quality of the cd doesn't quit meet the original vinyl quality but it is still ok. Very nice soundscapes built by the Rhodes and some great tunes too! If you can appreciate the more soulful side of jazz you should go for it. |
