The first Fender Rhodes album I ever listened to! The inner cover pictures show what looks like a Mark 1 Suitcase 73 Piano that sounds identical to a Silver Sparkletop '60's Fender Rhodes Piano is played on this record and is beyond belief!!! If the pictures are true then that is one of those first Mark 1's with the older teadrop hammers in it!!! That saturation sound of the older-style tines is NAS-TAY! Joe Zawinul secured a place in my favorites list. He HAD to break some tines on this one!!! Caution: Continuous listening to this album will make you by older and older Rhodes pianos!--until one day you wind up with Felt tipped hammers!!! |
