This is a real nice recording from Prince's keyboard player, Rad.
Great band, nice sound from a Mark I Suitcase and some other boards, nice tunes (check Butterfly and You've Got A Friend) and overall a good atmosphere.
This lady really rocked the New Morning!

Before rad became his purple highness' lady of the ivory coast, she'd already been a bona fide artist in her own right -
check out her great album "gotta be" that she cut for Soulciety
when she was living in Hamburg in the early 90s. It was just a matter of time that Prince took notice of her: she's a great musician with groove, funk and style, she looks gorgeous AND she's so small the artist is in no danger of being towered onstage. But WHAT ENERGY that lady's got! Saw her live twice, both time to a shameful 2-digit-audience :-( , and she just BLEW everybody away! |
