Although some may compare this record unfavourably (even slighlty) to "Light as a Feather", for me it's still a great record. Great tunes, great performances, great Rhodes playing. |

Not up to the standard of Light as a Feather but still worth checking out. About half the tracks have Rhodes on them. There's still some great Rhodes playing and the reeds work from Joe Farrell is as good as one has come to expect from him. |

Not at all my favourite Rhodes-CD , but 2 tracks feature a pretty good Rhodes.
There is a funny thing...The first track features a good Rhodes , that is badly compressed......that is....
if you listen well you can hear what is called I think the "chattering"-effect.
Due to bad setup of the compressor , the sound gets a trembling , nervous effect as a result of quick volume-changes caused by the compressor.
Just wanted to get that of my chest. |
