After finally listening to this album, I didn't feel it matched up to the hype. It was certainly full of talented musicians, but I didn't have a sense of melody all the time. Moreover, it isn't as Rhodes-centric of an album as I had thought it might. The keyboard use (electronic included) is certainly tasteful and expertly-executed. I just wish I'd heard more of the Rhodes! |
