This is one of my favourite artists and favourite Live recordings. Auger is perhaps most familiar for hammond enthusiasts, especially with his earlier band Trinity and together with Julie Driscoll. But he plays a lot of rhodes on the Oblivion express recordings. He´s got his very own playing style and on the first track "beginning again" You´ll hear some of the best rhodes solos ever in my opinion (the drummer Stephen ferrone is awsome as well!). The original LP (RCA CPL 1-0645) has a very good sound but I dont know if it´s released on CD. |
