Excellent Album , I stumbled upon the song "brazilian love affair", when I heard it on one of the Golden Classic Jazz Funk LP some years ago. (You will find a lot of the same brazilian spirit that lee ritenour showed on his brazilian "affairs"... )
The song "love Reborn" is one of the greatest Rhodes and Synthesizer "meltdowns" I ever heard. |

Along with FEEL on MPS Records, I'd say this is Duke's finest effort to date. Great Rio-tinged late 70's disco-jazz featured on tracks like "Brazilian Love Affair" and "Sugar Loaf Mountain". Plus, it has one of his classic (and often re-recorded) tracks, "Love Reborn". |
