If someone had told me that there was Rhodes piano on this album, i would not have believed them. You have to listen carefully as its buried under heavy amounts of Paul's whimsical instrumentation. This album usually gets mentioned as being the best Wings music from the '70's but i think not. This is the best that Paul could do? On an unrelated note, i was listening to 'Magneto and the Titanium Man' from Wings followup album Venus and Mars and heard how a Rhodes should not be played, like that of a honky-tonk piano. Stick to the acoustic Paul. |
