Bugge only uses a Rhodes on two tracks. His playing reminds a bit of that of Herbie. The rhodes is most prominent on the first track, where he solos a lot, very nicely too. He hasn't got that Rhodes-sound I prefer (Stevie Wonder/Herbie Hancock early 70's, early Jamiroquai) but his playing is good, and it's a Rhodes, so I'm satisfied! |

I give this album a 4 since itīs a well played rhodes there, nice compositions and harmonics and especially very "airy" overall sound. I like the Rhodes sound on this album, since itīs very natural to me, i.e. no extreme effects and a very "naked" and clean. All the tracks are good but I agree that the first track is the best and the playing reminds me about Hancockīs "chameleon" solo. Iīd like to hear more like this! |
