Service Tech Bulletin (03/08/10): A new Parts, Service & Repairs system will be launched sometime around May or June of this year. It is extremely important that businesses and individual technicians who are currently listed and want to maintain their listing status read the instructions published in the Service Tech Bulletin, understand and comply with them in order to continue to have their business published on FenderRhodes.com. The Rhodes Home Piano Page (10/20/09): I'm creating an entirely new page under the Models Section exclusively for the legendary 1977 Rhodes Home Piano, which is slowly proving to be less rare than we had originally assumed. Thanks to several owners and techs we have much more information on it now, including the original brochure that came with the piano. Home Piano players unite! Fender Combo Organs (10/05/09): I plan to expand the site with a section on the Fender Contempo, Starmaster & Pedal Bass, but I need much more information in order to do it! So far all I have is from catalogs, magazine ads and Ebay listings, and the Ebay sellers are never interested in actually talking to me about what they have to sell (ironically). If you're the owner of a Contempo or the Pedal Bass (the transistor organ pedals, not the piano), please email me at input@fenderrhodes.com and tell me about it! New Service Listings (09/28/09): I am running behind in updating the Service Listings, so my apologies to the techs who have requested to be added recently. The entire system is being rewritten on the code side, which will slow things down for a while. Blog Updates (07/24/09): For anybody who was ever following my Restoration Blog, I have a lot of back material that I will be adding, along with newer developments. I hope you find it educational, entertaining and enlightening. The quest for peace with this piano never seems to end. Next stop: ebony oil stain for the cabinet.... Service Listings (05/25/09): There were a few bug fixes in the Service Listings today that improved the text formatting and caught certain characters that were being corrupted. Techs are also encouraged to check their listings periodically to ensure that their information is up-to-date and that the comments on the page are good ones! Still In Santa Cruz (04/26/09): I'm done moving but didn't move far...now we're in the Live Oak area of Santa Cruz, closer to the beach and no longer overlooking the AAA parking lot!!! IEEEEE!!!!! (03/20/09): The Web Development world was cursed with the final release of Internet Explorer 8 today, which I have refused to install and/or use for the purpose of testing this site. For the time being if you are using IE8 and run into any problems viewing the content here, please use either IE7 Compatibility Mode (the torn piece of paper button) or a completely different browser (Firefox, Safari or Chrome). Keyboard Magazine Back Issues (03/10/09): I am still searching for an issue of Keyboard where Harold Rhodes is interviewed in the mid- to late-90's (not the one from 1993, which I have). If anybody knows the month and year of this issue, please email me at james@fenderrhodes.com. I appreciate your help.
